Refurbishment and Retrofitting

Bringing existing buildings up to date, and cutting what they cost to run.

What we do

We upgrade existing buildings with new finishes and new technology.

Many buildings are structurally sound but tired, or cost far more to run than they should. We survey what is there, agree what to keep, and plan the work so the building can often stay in use while we are on site.

Retrofitting covers the systems that cut running costs: solar and battery storage, efficient lighting, water storage and rainwater harvesting, better roofing and shading. Through the Williot Group, solar and power work can be delivered with Williot Energy Solutions.

Questions

Refurbishment: Common Questions

All questions
Can the building stay in use during the work?

Often, yes. We phase the work floor by floor or area by area and agree working hours, noise and access with you before we start.

Do you install solar on existing buildings?

Yes, as part of a retrofit. We check the roof can carry the panels first, and the solar design can be delivered with Williot Energy Solutions, our sister company.
